Naptime
I was not born with the “napping gene”.
The rest of my family was. My Mom was the best napper I ever saw; she could lie down for 20 minutes, get up and be totally rejuvenated. Not me. If I napped – and I had to be convinced that I needed to – it was never for less than an hour and when I got up from my nap I felt like I’d been hit by a truck. I was a nap… Continue reading
Boo Humbug!
I don’t like Halloween.
There. I said it. Not a popular opinion, I know.
But does it make me a bad American?

Brother Can You Spare A Job?

Hello my name is Pam and I am a Mets fan.
Yup. Yeah I know. Most people in the Nutmeg State say “WTF?” when they find out I’m a Mets fan. Sometimes I think I’d get less of a reaction of bewilderment if I said I was, say, a Padres fan. Or a Nationals fan. But a METS fan? Sometimes people take a step back from me and give me “that look” that says: when you can be a fan of THAT OTHER… Continue reading
Why Do I live On The Connecticut Shoreline?
First let me say that if it wasn’t for Long Island (and don’t get me wrong I have nothing against Long Island it’s just “in the way”} we who make our homes on the shoreline of Connecticut would be on the ocean, not the Sound. Those fabulous south shore beaches on Long Island would be the fabulous south shore beaches of Connecticut, thus saving me the money of having to go to, say, Montauk, to have some ocean time.
But Long Island is there… Continue reading
