We do this event in memory of our mom, Ruth, who died from ovarian cancer on April 5, 2000 as well as my dear friend Miriam who also lost her life to the same disease in 2009.

 

You can join me in the fight against women’s cancers by making a donation on my behalf. Your donation will help fund important research into the cause and cure of women’s cancers, prevention, education and support service programs. Every dollar will help bring us one step closer to a cure.

Dog Walk and Festival!!  It happens at beautiful Paradise Green in the heart of  Stratford, Connecticut (corner of Main and Huntington).

Admission is FREE and there is something for everyone including food, music, kids games, crafters and a low-cost pet micro-chip clinic!

Bring your dog for a one mile “Dog Walk” along Main Street…registration is a $20 donation to S.T.A.R.S. for up to 2 dogs and the first 100 registrants get a “swag bag”!

There are also free contests for the dogs!

All proceeds from this event benefit Stratford Animal Rescue.

There is currently NO TEST to detect ovarian cancer.  Discovery to Cure is getting very close to approval for one.

Hope to see you at beautiful Sherwood Island State Park in Westport on September 12.
