The Revlon Run/Walk for Women is May 5 in NYC
On Saturday, May 5, I will be participating in the 15th Annual EIF Revlon Run/Walk For Women along with my sister Alice.
We do this event in memory of our mom, Ruth, who died from ovarian cancer on April 5, 2000 as well as my dear friend Miriam who also lost her life to the same disease in 2009.

6th Annual S.T.A.R.S. Fall Festival
Hard to believe it’s THAT time of the year again! Please join me as I host this really fun day for you and your dogs on the Stratford Green, Saturday, October 8.
It is a benefit for animals sponsored by the Stratford Animal Rescue Society.
Pet Adoptions , Microchip Clinic, Silent Auction,
People & Pet Vendors/Crafters, Food, Contests, Canine Demos, Music, Games, Free Ice Cream and a one mile dog walk led by News 12 personality and fellow animal “freak” Lauren Collier.

May 15 is the Durham Pet Fair!!
A fun-filled day of sitting, staying and playing at the 3rd Annual Durham Pet Fair hosted by Help Willy’s Friends on May 15, 2011. Centrally located at the Coginchaug Regional High School, 135 Pickett Lane in Durham, CT, there will be something for everyone to enjoy – demonstrations, music, good food, shopping and most importantly, pets!
I’ll be hosting the Pet Parade of adoptable pets from many of the area shelters.
A fun event for the whole family…and you might just go home with a new friend!

Bikers Against Animal Cruelty (B.A.A.C.) is having a battle of the bands at Toad’s place to raise money for the animals. Also collecting donations of food and supplies.

Sunday, October 3, 2010 from 8:30a-1:00p join me to support Yale School of Medicine’s amazing Discovery to Cure program. It’s the Teal Time Breakfast at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 2630 Whitney Avenue in Hamden, CT. All proceeds go to the Discovery to Cure program, advancing the prevention, early detection and treatment of women’s reproductive cancers. $10 Adults and $7 for seniors and kids under 14. Kids under 5 are free.

Stratford Animal Rescue Society event
Saturday, October 9 from 10a-4p (raindate October 10) join me as Master of Ceremonies for the 5th annual S.T.A.R.S. Dog Walk and Festival!! It happens at beautiful Paradise Green in the heart of Stratford, Connecticut (corner of Main and Huntington).
Admission is FREE and there is something for everyone including food, music, kids games, crafters and a low-cost pet micro-chip clinic!
Bring your dog for a one mile “Dog Walk” along Main Street…registration is a $20 donation to S.T.A.R.S. for up to 2 dogs and the first 100 registrants get a “swag bag”!

Join me September 12…
The Discovery to Cure program at Yale is doing incredible work and I am proud to be joining them for their third annual Walk to Benefit Ovarian Cancer. Having lost my Mom in 2000 and one of my dearest friends in 2009 to ovarian cancer, this is something that is very close to me.
There is currently NO TEST to detect ovarian cancer. Discovery to Cure is getting very close to approval for one.
